Reporting to the Political and Public Affairs Business Unit lead, you will be responsible for sourcing new business leads, providing day-to-day management of the pre-close, post-close, pre-campaign launch, live campaign, and post campaign retention efforts. This key role will be responsible for prospect and client engagement ranging from pulling digital availabilities to supporting campaign management, and then reporting on post campaign success. This position is located in San Francisco.

Senior Media Buyer
Provide senior level planning and management for the media planning team. As a Senior Media Buyer you will help manage the day to day responsibilities of responding to client requests and building media recommendations. You will manage Associate Media Buyers to ensure that the quality of our teams product is second to none. This includes day-to-day operations, client deliverables, vendor relationship management, and issue resolution.
Lead and manage all strategic media planning activities associated with assigned account(s)
Work with Media team and external partners to gauge media performance and KPI’s to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
Manage the flow of client media-related needs – create solutions and resolve problems
Develop media planning objectives and strategies that coincide with the client’s marketing direction
Helped formulate and help craft reports that provide the client with insight on efficiency of campaigns
Drive optimization strategies based on client objectives and agreed upon performance metrics
Understand and cross-train in the use of state-of-the-art planning and optimization tools
Understand and establish awareness of client business issues, industry trends and competitive market landscape
7-10 years of experience building integrated strategies for multi-channel campaigns
History of strong relationships in the industry
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Traditional and Digital Media; ability to direct both traditional and digital planners/buyers, provide oversight.
Bring critical thinking to the final recommendations across all media channels
Solid understanding of traditional and interactive media research tools
Understanding the principles of direct response market marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
Proven record of success in leading full service accounts
Strong written, presentation, analytical, quantitative and verbal skills
Superior organizational, interpersonal and management skills
Experience or familiarity with some/all of the following syndicated research and software: MRI, SMRB, Scarborough, comScore, SRDS, SQAD, IMS
